Kaurna Language Requests
How to formally request Kaurna names, translations and information.
Requests for Kaurna names, translations and information about the Kaurna language (including meanings of words and phrases) are dealt with at the regular monthly KWK meetings attended by Kaurna Elders, teachers of Kaurna, linguists and other researchers.
You are encouraged to attend to discuss your request in person with the group. See the meeting schedule on the News & Events pages.
KWK meetings are held at Tauondi College, Port Adelaide.
To make a request for a Kaurna name, translation or information about specific words, please first download and read the information sheet.
Once you have read the information sheet, please complete the online Kaurna Language Requests Questionnaire which will be automatically sent to us on submission.
